This morning on Vinny and Nikki, we spoke about optimism... Could you use more positivity in your life? We think so! No matter how well things are going, it could always be better because life is a constant journey.
Nikki shared five simple habits to lead a more optimistic life, and they're actually really simple and easy to adopt. Her list is quick to accomplish, and all it requires is a bit of dedication. Do you think you'd be able to accomplish these steps? It takes just 21 days to build these 5 simple habits.
Here they are:
The gratitude habit: think of at least three things each and every day that you're grateful for.
Write a thank-you note: pick a different person each day and write them a text or email to thank them. It doesn't have to be someone you know well, it could be an old teacher or something.
The visualization habit: think of one meaningful thing that happened to you in the past 24 hours, and jsut visualize it for a moment.
Exercise: just do something physical for at least 15 minutes each day (or half an hour three times a week).
Meditation: just take 5-10 minutes to stop everything, go quiet, and focus on your breathing.
These things take about 15-20 minutes of your day, that's ALL! Can you really afford not to do it?
