For drivers using the Turcot interchange, life this summer has been a bit of a nightmare… Sadly, the worst is yet to come. It’s so bad, in fact, that the KHP/Turcot consortium, which is responsible for the megaproject, has announced this closure well in advance to better spread the word about avoiding the Turcot interchange.
DETAILS – UPCOMING MAJOR CLOSURE
When: Thursday, November 8, 2018 --- Tuesday, November 13, 2018
Where: the ENTIRE interchange will be closed, except the 15-S.
WHAT WORK IS BEING DONE
As shown in the graphic below, the biggest job for construction teams between November 8 and 13 is to dismantle the old Highway 15-N (shown in purple below). To do so, teams will start by building temporary structures (circled in red below) to stabilize the pillars and prevent rocks and debris from falling onto the railroad tracks and highway lanes below.

- 15-N: CLOSED November 9 (p.m.) to November 12 (a.m.)
- 20-E to 136-E: CLOSED November 9 (p.m.) to November 13 (a.m.)
- 136-W to 20-W: CLOSED November 8 (p.m.) to November 13 (a.m.)
- 15-S: OPEN all weekend.
