After the past days of mild temperatures, it’s time for winter to resume its usual brutality.
Weather Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Montreal area. This evening (Wednesday), up to 5 mm of freezing rain will fall, making the streets and sidewalks particularly slippery.
Rain is in the forecast for the rest of the day Thursday, with a high of 7°C. Friday is the wild card, with a mix of warm, cold, snow and rain…
But Saturday will be the real killer, with a high of -9°C and heavy snow in the morning.
If you’ve got any shoveling left to do, it may be best to start right away, before the warm weather leaves us and the wet snow freezes into an impenetrable and slippery surface.
Good luck to all!
