The suburb of Kew, just west of London, is mostly a peaceful place.
It’s right under an air traffic path, however, which does make it a bit noisy… And sometimes downright scary! Last Wednesdays, residents got quite a scare as a huge chunk of ice came crashing down onto the street, presumably after becoming detached from an airplane.

This isn’t the first time falling objects from a plane have given London’s residents a scare. In 2015, a stowaway fell to his death after a plane opened its landing gear over South West London. A similar incident happened in the U.K. in 2012…
