Post Malone has entered 2020 with a "brutal" new tattoo on his face.
The Rockstar hitmaker has added to his extensive tattoo collection by getting a medieval gauntlet holding a flail inked on his face, with the body art running from the end of his sideburns on his right cheek, down alongside his ear, and ending at his chin.
Post admitted to TMZ.com that getting the new tattoo was a painful process.
"It hurt like a motherf**ker," he confessed. "It's like a gauntlet and like a flail, it's like a big spiked bar on a chain. It's pretty brutal. I wanted to do it for a while, but finally, I said, 'F**k it and let's do it.'"
The new body art, which was inked by New York-based tattoo artist Kyle Hediger, joins the numerous tattoos he already has on his face, including a long dagger down the same cheek, "always tired" written under both eyes, barbed wire just underneath his hairline, as well as the words "stay away" and a pack of cards on his forehead.
Post showed off his new ink as he performed on America's New Year's Rockin' Eve TV special from Times Square in New York, where he suffered a minor slip-up during his headlining set and briefly lost his footing.
He laughed off the incident and continued with the show, helping to mark the new decade with performances of Circles and Congratulations.
Meanwhile, the star is also jumping feet first into film in the New Year after picking up a part in Mark Wahlberg's upcoming movie Wonderland.
"By no means am I gonna be an actor because I'm pretty s**tty at it, but I try my best. Now especially with this new tattoo, I can only really play the bad guy, the tough-looking guy I guess, you know, more s**t to come," the 24-year-old said, before joking, "I got a face for radio."
