Montreal rapper and professor at Concordia University, Yassin Alsalman (or Narcy), will be teaching a brand new course this fall covering all things Kendrick Lamar.

Having taught courses on major hip hop artists like Lauryn Hill, A Tribe Called Quest, Kanye West, and more, Alsalman will be taking his lecture to a whole new level with this new course entitled, ‘FFAR 298: The Power of Hip Hop, It’s Bigger Than Us’.

Inspiring Fine Arts students since 2013, Alsalman is excited to be offering students a fresh new perspective on the 14-time Grammy award winner. According to Narcy, students will “analyze the music and fashion, activism and passion of hip-hop culture through Kendrick Lamar’s discography, videography, and narrative.”

With 200 spots open for this winter semester course, students can get information on the class description and enrollment requirements at the Fine Arts department’s page on Concordia University’s website here.
