June 7th in the running community is largely recognized as “Global Running Day”. A day to lace up your shoes and move your body. A worldwide celebration of the sport of running. Also a day where runners of all levels can either try the sport for the first time or add more training kilometres to an upcoming race!
Beyond the physical, running (or exercise in general) brings many mental health benefits. A great way to clear your head while getting some exercise. Be it on a treadmill, a solo run in your neighbourhood or getting out to a trail to be in nature, the options are endless.
Montreal is very well-represented in the run community with run clubs for all levels of runners. All are inclusive and open to anyone looking to share in the joys of running. So pick out your best run fit… Or grab whatever you’ve got lying around… We don’t care… We just want to see you out there!
