Statistics Canada announced that the country will officially hit its mark this week.
With their live population clock, Canadians everywhere are able to keep track of the population numbers in the country, as well as in each province... With Quebec coming in second with the biggest population, right behind the province of Ontario.
The stats are based off of the number of births, deaths, immigrants, emigrants, non-permanent residents, and inter-provincial migrants there are currently in the country.
According to chief statistician, Anil Arora, "It is a strong signal that Canada remains a dynamic and welcoming country, full of potential. As we head into Canada Day, this is certainly cause for celebration."
It is also estimated that Canada could reach a population of 50 million people by the year 2043... Based on previous reports throughout the years.
