Hey Montreal, did you know that you can enjoy free access to certain museums on the first Sunday of every month?

That’s right, this initiative took place back in 2018 to promote and make museum exhibits more accessible.

Here are the museums you can visit for free in Montreal:

  • MAC Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal
  • Montreal Museum of Fine Arts
  • Musée des maîtres et artisans du Québec
  • Canadian Centre for Architecture
  • Montreal Holocaust Museum
  • Château Dufresne
  • Musée Marguerite-Bourgeoys
  • McCord Stewart Museum
  • Écomusée du fier monde
  • Musée des Hospitalières de l'Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal
  • Zoo Ecomuseum
  • Maison Saint-Gabriel

Free entry to museums is only available for Quebec residents upon displaying proof of residency. Non-residents, on the other hand, are required to pay the standard admission fee.

So, if you are a Montreal resident, make sure to take advantage of this sweet deal!
