Although the persistent cold weather appears to be never-ending, there are exciting things to anticipate in Montreal this spring!
Here are five things we're looking forward to doing in the upcoming months, from enjoying festivals that celebrate arts and culture to strolling in the Montreal Botanical Garden!
Experiencing the rare total solar eclipse!
When: April 8, 2024
On April 8, 2024, the city will experience a total solar eclipse, where the moon will completely block the sun for nearly 2 minutes! For the best view, head to Parc Jean-Drapeau, where a variety of activities will be held throughout the day. This rare event presents a unique chance to witness a total solar eclipse in Montreal, as the next one is not until 2205. Eclipse glasses are still available at 45 municipal libraries across Montreal. It is important to protect your eyes from the sun's harmful rays, as they can cause irreversible damage during an eclipse.
…Make sure to come say hi to The Beat, as we will be present there!
