If you're tired of struggling to find overhead space for your carry-on luggage on planes, WestJet now offers a new solution for you.

The airline has introduced a new economy seat choice known as “Extended Comfort,” set to launch on April 10, 2024. This option can be selected when booking any type of economy seat (Basic, Econo, or EconoFlex).

This new option offers additional benefits in addition to priority overhead space:

  • Extra legroom
  • Priority boarding (Zone 2)
  • Faster exit upon arrival
  • A seat in the exclusive front section of the Economy cabin
  • Complimentary alcoholic beverage during inflight service.

The Extended Comfort option is priced from $30 onwards, with potential variations depending on the origin and destination, travel date, and other factors.

You have the option to reserve this service either when you book your flight or afterward online or via the WestJet App.
