McGill University in Montreal has secured a position in a recent global ranking by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, focusing on subjects specifically.
According to the McGill Reporter, the university has three subjects in the global Top 10, seven subjects in the Top 20, 35 subjects in the Top 50 and 47 subjects in the Top 100.
The institution's position in the rankings has gone up and stands alongside other prestigious universities like Harvard, MIT, and others.
The QS ranking studied over 16,400 individual university programs through over 1,500 for their ranking.
McGill’s Engineering - Mineral & Mining program subject led the way, ranking 5th in the world.
