Great news, Montreal! The Just for Laughs festival will indeed take place in the city this summer, thanks to a relaunch in collaboration with Fizz.

Following the cancellation of their Montreal and Toronto festivals earlier this year, ComediHA! President and CEO Sylvain Parent-Bédard said it was a “miracle” that the company was able to announce programming for July.

Parent-Bédard revealed that ComediHa! will organize a "transition festival" and that the English segment will now operate under the Just for Laughs brand.

Even though the English segment of the festival will be reduced in size, he feels it’s important to show fans and the industry that the event isn’t finished.

The 2024 festival will happen from July 18 to 28 featuring a free outdoor performance by Dane Cook along with 15 shows in different venues.

Most of the events will take place on the free outdoor stage and paid venues across Place des Arts.
