Nelly Furtado has admitted she would love to collab with Taylor Swift.

The I'm Like a Bird singer, who is due to release her seventh studio album in September, has revealed she even has a song ready for Taylor if she'd like to join forces.

"I have a song I want Taylor Swift on the remix," she said in an interview with Extra. "It's called Ready for Myself. Verse two. She can rewrite it. Write whatever you want. Change the chorus."

The two women have a mutual appreciation for each other. Last year, Nelly shared a video of the two meeting backstage at the MTV Video Music Awards.

In the clip, the Reputation singer tells Nelly, "I was just singing 'I'm Like a Bird' the other day." Nelly is seen laughing, saying, "No you weren't." Taylor replies, "Yes I was. Versatility, dude, you can do anything."

Nelly replies with "Oh my God, every time you write another amazing song, I'm like, 'She did it again!'"

The 45-year-old told Today hosts, that "(Taylor) is an icon. I think that it's such a beautiful flow of life to know that your songs made an impact 20 years later. When you see new generations enjoying your music it becomes very real."

Nelly's new album, 7, will be out on 20 September.
