If you were planning to go for a drive this afternoon, you might want to reconsider.

Due to massive rainfall, several Montreal roads have accumulated significant amounts of water. Here are the road closures you should be aware of:

  • Highway 40 is closed in both directions at Côte-Vertu Boulevard.
  • The A-13 North ramp to the A-520 in the Liesse tunnel is currently closed.
  • The ramp from Highway 15 South to the A-40 is also completely closed.

The Sûreté du Québec has stated that they are closely monitoring the situation in collaboration with the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité Durable du Québec to assess road conditions.

Montrealers are encouraged to keep an eye on forecasts from Environment and Climate Change Canada. It’s also crucial to avoid driving through water on roads, as it can sweep a vehicle or person away.

Total rainfall is expected to be between 80 and 120 millimeters. To stay up to date, click here.
