If you're planning to travel with Air Canada soon but are feeling nervous about the possible strike, don’t worry—Air Canada has you covered!
The Canadian airline is offering passengers who booked flights around the potential pilot strike date (September 17) the opportunity to rebook their trip. While Air Canada is hopeful of reaching a mutual agreement with the pilots, up to 5,400 pilots could go on strike next month.
Air Canada announced that customers with travel plans between September 15 and 23 can rebook their flights, with the same origin and destination, for travel up to November 30 at no additional cost. However, if you need to cancel or rebook your trip after the specified dates, your change fees will be waived, but you will need to pay any fare difference.
It's important to note that refunds aren’t available for all customers. If you purchased a refundable ticket, you’ll receive a refund. However, if you bought a non-refundable ticket, refunds won’t be issued as the flights are still scheduled to operate as normal.
This policy applies to all Air Canada-operated flights.
