Public transit officials warned of the emergency closure of three Blue Line métro stations earlier on Friday.

Service at Fabre, Iberville, and St-Michel stations was suspended late Thursday due to significant deterioration of the main beam above a footbridge at one of the stops.

The Société de Transport de Montréal (STM) stated on its website that “due to the location of track equipment required to turn trains around, Fabre and Iberville stations must also remain closed.”

A shuttle bus service has been arranged to transport commuters from the affected stations to Jean-Talon métro station. The shuttle will stop at each of the closed stations and run in both directions. STM staff will be present at the closed stations to assist and redirect commuters.

For further details on bus travel alternatives, please visit the STM website.
