Alright Montreal, the Thanksgiving long weekend is here! If you somehow manage to roll off your couch after stuffing yourself with turkey and pumpkin pie (we believe in you), here’s what’s open and closed in the city on Thanksgiving Monday. Spoiler: your fridge will be wide open for leftovers!
Open:
- Most shopping malls and grocery stores
- Atwater and Jean-Talon Markets
- Garbage, recycling, and compost will keep the usual schedules
- Ecocentres
- The Planetarium, Biodôme, Botanical Garden, Insectarium, and Biosphère
- STM will be operating on a modified schedule
- STL routes will run on a Saturday schedule.
- EXO buses will run on a Saturday schedule, while trains will run on a Sunday schedule
Closed:
- Banks and financial institutions
- Canada Post
- Most SAQs
- The Grande Bibliothèque
