Following the recent passing of the Pharmacare Act into law, after receiving Royal Assent last week, Canadians will soon have access to free contraceptives, the morning-after pill, and diabetes medications.

The first phase of this initiative will focus on providing universal access to contraceptives for women, along with diabetes treatments.

This milestone comes just over two months after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau outlined further details of the plan.
