Khloé Kardashian felt "liberated" making a perfume on her own for the first time.
The reality star has dabbled in the fragrance world before with her sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian but she's now gearing up to launch her first solo perfume, XO Khloé.
In an interview with WWD, the 40-year-old admitted striking out on her own was scary but also very liberating.
"The other creations I did in the fragrance world, I either did with my ex-husband (Lamar Odom) or I did with my sisters. I've never done one completely on my own, which is really cool but also nerve-wracking. It's all reliant on you," she said. "It is scary, but it's also really liberating that I get to do it all on my own."
While XO Khloé is her solo venture, the Good American founder sought out her family's feedback while testing her creation.
"This one, all of my sisters - who are very tough critics - all complimented it. And none of them knew it was mine," she gushed. "That was my biggest compliment, when they all asked what I was wearing without knowing that you're wearing your own tester. I wear it every day."
Khloé follows in the footsteps of her sisters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, who already have their own solo perfumes as well as beauty brands.
The star explained that fragrance is "the perfect beauty avenue" for her and she will be leaving make-up "to my sisters".
XO Khloé, the first scent in her partnership with Luxe Brands, features top notes of crystallised rose petals, lavender and sage blossom; heart notes of orange blossom water, praline and juicy peach; and base notes of tonka bean, soft wood and sexy musks.
It will launch at Harrods in London on 25 November and Ulta Beauty in the U.S. on 1 December.
