Rihanna stole the show in a flurry blue coat at The Fashion Awards on Monday night.

The superstar sported a black bustier dress, faux fur jacket, and blue feathered hat from the Christian Lacroix fall/winter 2002 collection when she stepped out at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Rihanna accessorised the eye-catching look with diamond necklaces and Paula Rowan gloves.

The Umbrella hitmaker was at the event organised by the British Fashion Council (BFC) to support her partner A$AP Rocky, who was presented with the Cultural Innovator Award by French fashion designer Michèle Lamy during the ceremony.

The rapper, who looked sharp in a navy blue suit and brown leather tie from Bottega Veneta, joked, "It's about f**king time" when he accepted the accolade.

Rocky also told the crowd that he hopes the award shows young artists that they can "do this too".

Co-hosted by TV personality Maya Jama and musician Kojey Radical, The Fashion Awards celebrate the "role of fashion at the intersection of culture and entertainment, spotlighting creative talent and telling the stories of the year in fashion".

Among the big winners on the night were Jonathan Anderson, who won the Designer of the Year Award for his work at JW Anderson and Loewe, and Alex Consani, who was crowned Model of the Year.

Consani, 21, is the first transgender model to win the prize, beating out fellow nominees Alva Claire, Anok Yai, Liu Wen, and Mona Tougaard.

Simone Rocha was named British Womenswear Designer of the Year and Grace Wales Bonner of Wales Bonner took home British Menswear Designer of the Year.

Meanwhile, designer/filmmaker Tom Ford was presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award by U.S. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour for his creative contribution to the fashion industry.

"It is an honour to be acknowledged for my contributions to fashion, film and culture by the British Fashion Council. This award is incredibly special to me, as I have spent a great deal of my life in London," said Ford, the former creative director of Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, and his eponymous line.

"During my 35 years in the fashion world, I have focused on creativity and the love of beauty and style. I am so very grateful to the British Fashion Council for this prestigious award."
