Despite the unusually warm end to 2024, Mother Nature is making sure we know that winter is here to stay—at least for the start of the new year.

With a cold snap and some flurries in the forecast, here’s your official weekend weather update for Montreal:

Friday: The afternoon and evening will be mainly cloudy, with no flurries yet. However, a cold spell will bring temperatures that feel like minus 13 degrees Celsius, dropping to a frigid minus 20 degrees Celsius overnight. Ouch.

Saturday: Expect a mainly cloudy day with biting temperatures that feel like minus 18 degrees Celsius all day. Flurries will make an appearance in the evening.

Sunday: The sunniest day of the weekend also comes with the coldest morning, as temperatures dip to minus 22 degrees Celsius. Throughout the day, it will feel like minus 17 degrees Celsius.

So, all in all, it’s going to be a cold one, Montreal! Make sure to bundle up—or better yet, stay cozy indoors.
