You know the saying: New Year, New… Recycling System? That’s exactly what’s happening in our home province!

Quebec is getting a major revamp with a new recycling system designed to reduce waste. The system will now be managed by a single organization, Éco Entreprises Québec, which will oversee recycling on behalf of companies producing packaging and paper materials.

With this new system, you’ll be able to recycle most containers, packaging, printed materials, as well as bags and plastic wrap—items that weren’t previously recyclable.

However, some products remain non-recyclable, such as aerosol cans, Styrofoam packaging, and biodegradable plastics.

To make sorting easier, you can use the Ça va où app or visit their website for detailed guidelines on what goes in which bin.
