Following the announcement of Guzzo cinema closing, the news has led to 300 workers being laid off in the Montreal area.

The layoffs took place on February 6, the same day the theatres closed their doors, after a Quebec Superior Court decision authorized the end of movie theatre activities.

At this time, a process is underway inviting investors to submit letters of intent for the purchase of Guzzo’s assets, with interested parties having until February 21 to submit their proposals.
