If there was ever a time to stay indoors, it’s this Thursday Montreal!
The city has already been hit with a significant amount of snow, and by the time it’s all over this Thursday evening, we’re expecting a total accumulation of 25 to 40 centimetres.
According to Environment Canada’s winter storm warning, snowfall is expected to continue until this evening. In addition to the heavy snow, wind gusts of up to 80 km/h are also set to develop later today.
As a result of the storm, flight delays have been reported, and several school boards have announced closures. Here are the ones currently closed:
- English Montreal School Board
- Lester B. Pearson School Board
- New Frontiers School Board
- Riverside School Board
- Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board
