After launching their snow-loading operation, the City of Montreal has announced that at least a week of work remains, with only about five percent completed so far.
City spokesperson Philippe Sabourin stated that the operation would take at least eight days to finish.
Montreal received 34 cm of snow last Thursday and another 38 cm on Sunday. On top of that, the city is bracing for another frigid day on Tuesday, with wind gusts up to 50 km/h and temperatures feeling like -25°C with the wind chill.
