We are now five days into Montreal’s snow removal operation after receiving 74 centimetres of snow last weekend.

The city of Montreal has cleared about a third of the snow, but it could take at least another 10 days before all 10,000 kilometers of streets and sidewalks are back to normal.

The operation will cost the city around $50 million—a hefty sum to clean up two historic back-to-back snowstorms.

Reminder: Garbage pickup will resume next Monday after being suspended this week.
