Katy Perry has teamed up with Rebecca Black for Perry's Lifetimes tour.

Black, who appeared in Perry's 2011 video for Last Friday Night (TGIF), was at the Los Angeles stop on her own Salvation tour on the weekend when Perry joined her for a rendition of that song.

Perry then got down on one knee to make a proposal to Black - that she join her for the Lifetimes Tour. And she said yes.

Perry announced the news on Instagram, where she shared a series of photos and video clips. "About to spend a lot more Fridays with @msrebeccablack," she captioned the post. "Welcome to the Lifetimes tour babes."

Perry also included a flashback behind-the-scenes clip from the song's music video.

"Rebecca and I both love Fridays," Perry says in the clip. "So that's why I asked her to be in this music video because Friday is like my favourite day of the week, and it's her favourite day of the week."

"We're giving BPM. We're giving celebration. We're giving unity. We're giving dance," Perry told Rolling Stone of what to expect at the shows.

"It will be like Disneyland on Wheels, as it always is. A feast for the eyes and the ears."

Singer, songwriter and YouTuber Black is best known for the music video for her 2011 debut single Friday which went viral on YouTube and other social media sites.
