Montreal’s BIXI, the city’s bike-sharing service, is kicking off its summer schedule earlier than usual this year.
According to a press release issued on March 31, the BIXI network—which serves Montreal, Mont-Royal, Montreal East, Longueuil, Laval, and more—will be operational starting April 15, 2025.
This season, around 1,600 new bikes will be added, along with 3,200 electric bikes and over 130 new stations across Quebec. The service is also expanding to new cities, including Sherbrooke, Saint-Eustache, Deux-Montagnes, and Saint-Lambert.
A seasonal membership is available now for $112 until May 31, offering unlimited 45-minute rides on mechanical bikes and discounts on e-bikes until November 15. A monthly membership is also available for $23 with the same perks.
