Cat has called Montreal home for decades but was born in Saskatoon. He got his first job at the age of 17 in Fort Frances, Ontario. From there, it was on to the bright lights of Moose Jaw, Edmonton, Toronto and, of course, Montreal. Cat often brags that for the first 18 years of his career he never missed a day of work!

Time Out Market Montréal is a food and cultural market that brings the best of the city together under one roof: the city’s best chefs, restaurateurs, drinks and cultural experiences—all hand-picked and editorially curated by the team behind Time Out Montréal.
Open since 2019, the Market offers 15 of the city's best chefs and restaurateurs over 40,000 square feet, six bars (a mocktail bar, a soda bar, two wine bars, a beer bar, and a cocktail bar), one cooking academy, and one event space.
Celebrating its 5th anniversary this Fall, the Market has hosted more than 30 concessions, 1 boutique, and 1 culinary academy since opening. Its mission is to reflect Montreal culture and highlight the passion, dedication, and culinary artistry that local chefs invest in each of their creations.
Since earlier this year, the Market has also been offering a new cocktail menu inspired by each of its restaurants, with a touch of sustainability for some of them using leftover ingredients.

Time Out Market is the world’s first editorially curated food and cultural market, bringing a city’s best chefs, restaurateurs, drinks and cultural experiences together under one roof.
The first Time Out Market opened in 2014 in a historic hall in Lisbon, quickly becoming one of the city's most popular destinations. Lisbon's success has led to further expansion, and the portfolio currently includes seven markets in cities such as New York, Montreal, Dubai, and Cape Town. Several new locations are scheduled to open in 2024.
Thanks to Time Out's unique multi-platform model covering digital and physical channels, expert journalists select and create content on the best things to do, see and eat in 333 cities in 59 countries.
