Christina Hendricks is tired of receiving criticism for wearing prints or bold colors on the red carpet.

The actress, known for her roles on Mad Men and new show Good Girls, always looks glamorous when she steps out for red carpet events and is a favorite among designers such as Zac Posen and Jenny Packham. However, Christina has now shared that she is often called out by fashion critics for choosing unconventional ensembles.

"I've fallen in love with dresses with bold prints or unusual finishes and been warned I'll be criticised," she told Variety, adding that she is now determined to brush off negative opinions. "I don't care anymore. We need interesting and unique fashion choices on the red carpet."

Over the years, Christina has tended to opt for figure-hugging gowns in jewel tones when attending awards ceremonies. But one of her top outfits choices had to be the lilac Posen gown with flowing train and feather trim which she wore to the 2010 Emmy Awards.

"This dress is everything - I felt like Ginger Rogers," the 43-year-old shared of the eye-catching design. "(It's) so Old Hollywood, romantic and playful and the construction was flawless. A dress has never fit me better."

Other memorable looks for Christina include the emerald green Tadashi Shoji gown with plunging neckline and finely pleated sleeves that she sported to the 2008 Emmys as well as the red silk Marchesa dress with gold embellishment which she donned for the 2014 TV event. And although she usually wears color on the red carpet, she is still a fan of the black lace dress from Christian Siriano that she chose for the 2013 Emmy Awards.

"I'm always encouraged to not wear black on the red carpet, but this dress was perfect," she smiled. "I wish I could wear it again and again."
