Hurray, Montreal! Driving over the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge is about to get easier.

According to Quebec’s Transport Ministry, a fourth lane will reopen on the bridge starting April 28.

Before that happens, the bridge will be completely closed from April 25 to 28 to allow for lane configuration work.

Also starting April 28, the speed limit will increase to 70 km/h.

However, the Transport Ministry noted that heavy vehicles will be prohibited from using the left lane in both directions.
