Environment Canada issued a heat warning for the Montreal area that is expected to last through Friday.
Heat Warning in effect for: Châteauguay - La Prairie, Laval, Longueuil, and Montréal Island
A warm and humid air mass will begin Tuesday through Friday. Temperature will exceed the 30-degree mark during the day and is not expected to drop below 20 degrees at night. Combined values of the temperature and the humidity will give humidex values near 40.

- Check on older family, friends and neighbours.
- Make sure they are cool and drinking water
- Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
- Watch for the symptoms of heat illness: dizziness/fainting; nausea/vomiting; rapid breathing and extreme thirst
