The Petition to rename Lionel-Groulx metro station after Montreal’s legendary jazz musician Oscar Peterson has reached and passed its original goal of 25,000 signatures

Naveed Hussain, the Montrealer who started the petition says that while city officials have repeatedly refused to consider renaming the station, he believes the time is now right for change.

He will present the petition to City Hall soon and hopes Mayor Valerie Plante will have a change of heart.
