Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Toronto Mayor John Tory, and many ontarians are showing the Montreal Canadiens their support in the most harmonious way possible… and we’re loving every bit of it!
Prior to the Habs victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Premiers Doug Ford and François Legault made a bet over the hockey game’s match, with the premier of the losing city having to sport the opposing team’s jersey. When all was said and done, Ford took to Twitter to share the victory of the Montreal Canadiens with a video congratulating the city’s team.
Now that the Habs will be facing the Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup semifinals, Canadians everywhere are rooting for the team as the only Canadian team left in the league.
Earlier this week, Mayor John Tory shared on Twitter the Montreal Canadiens flag raised in front of Toronto’s city hall. Before that, the CN Tower shined in beautiful bright red, blue, and white lights in support of Montreal’s very own hockey team.
The Montreal Canadiens are set to square off against the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday night in the Stanley Cup semifinals.
Who do you think will win? Who are we kidding... Go Habs Go!
