Earlier today, Quebec announced that anyone registered in the province's vaccine lottery now has a chance to win additional prizes including a vacation package to Mexico, as well as travel vouchers to any destination, domestic or international, that the airline flies to. In addition, they are offering bonus points for its Aeroplan program.

"These contests, along with our many strategies on the ground to vaccinate Quebecers, aim to reward people vaccinated against COVID-19 and to encourage those who have not yet done so to make this important gesture," Health Minister Christian Dubé said in a press release.

Bombardier will also offer a winner and six guests a 90-minute business class flight from Montreal to Quebec City as part of the vaccination initiative. Air Canada, meanwhile, is contributing:

1 all-inclusive seven-night vacation package for two to Cancun at the Sandos Cancun Lifestyle Resort, including round-trip economy flights;

  • 1 travel voucher for two for round-trip business class airfare to any destination served by Air Canada;
  • 10 travel vouchers for two people for round-trip economy airfare to any destination in Canada;
  • 3 prizes of 100,000 Bonus Aeroplan points;
  • [and] 5 Aeroplan 50K status memberships.

And in case you weren’t aware, the government has already announced that adult Quebecers who have received two doses of a vaccine by Aug. 31 may be eligible to win a grand prize of $1 million, to be drawn on Sept. 3.

Starting on August 6, weekly Friday draws will be held in two categories:

  1. Citizens aged 18 and older could win up to $1 million in cash.
  2. Bursaries of up to $20,000 will be awarded to lucky winners in the 12 to 17 vaccinated age group.

To be eligible for the vaccination lottery, participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Received the vaccine in Quebec.
  • Had a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 and received a dose of the vaccine.
  • Received a vaccine recognized by Health Canada outside Quebec.
  • Be 18 years or older.

Participants need to only register once. Once entered, they will be eligible for all the draws within their age group.
