Any Scream fans out there in Montreal? Well, you might want to hear about this…
A few months ago, film buffs everywhere were pleased to learn that Montreal would be the prime shooting location for the sixth Scream film entitled, “Blackmore”. While many of us have been waiting to hear more details about the film’s premise, Montrealers were given a small taste of where the story will be taking place after spotting one of the sets in NDG.
Various NDG storefronts were transformed into New York City staples like a beauty salon called “Mrs. Danvers”, a barber shop called “Hank’s Steady Hands”, an antique shop called “End of the Story”, and even a bodega called “Abe’s Snake”.
In addition to the very American antique and bodega shops, fans spotted a subway entrance for the 45 St Station on the R Broadway Local transit service. Something that you just don’t ever see on Montreal streets.
Despite the intersection having been transformed into New York City’s 4th and 44th streets, the actual intersection is on rue Sherbrooke O. and avenue Wilson.
While it looks like the shoot has since been wrapped up (according to Courteney Cox on Instagram, anyway), we can make sure to keep our eyes peeled for the scenes that take place in made-up version of New York City.
Are you excited for Scream 6?!
