Valentine's Day, as we know, is the day to show your partner how much you truly love them. This is often done through kind gestures, surprises, or, more typically, gifts.
While gifts are great, not all of them pass the Valentine's Day check...So whatever you do, make sure you DON'T get these Valentine's Day gifts for your partner this year!
1. Stuffed animals
Stuffed animals are really cute...when you're in the 5th grade. Getting your partner a stuffed animal for Valentine's Day is the same thing as saying you think of them as a friend, a buddy, or even worse, someone immature...
2. A jewelry box... that doesn't contain any jewelry
Have you ever seen the movie where the guy pulls out a small jewelry box only to reveal to his loved one that it contains a keychain? Don't be that person! Also, make sure you don't get your partner a simple pair of earrings or necklace if they're expecting a gift with a little more commitment...if you know what we mean.

3. Low-quality chocolate
If you're going to get your partner chocolates for Valentine's Day, make sure they're of good quality. While chocolate is the sweetest way to show someone you love them, choosing the wrong brand or kind will prove them all the opposite of love...
4. Heart-shaped things
It's 2023, and heart-shaped objects are officially out. Whether it be a piece of jewelry, a pillow, or even a simple card, make sure you steer clear of anything heart-shaped. Instead, go for something timeless and elegant (your partner will thank you!)
5. Nothing
If you show up empty handed on a date with your partner this Valentine's Day, don't expect another one to go to. Unless you and your boo mutually decided to skip on the romantic gifts this year, Valentine's Day presents are a must. And don't worry about getting the biggest, most impressive gift! Sometimes simplicity can go a long way (besides, it's the thought that counts!)
