Montreal's Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery announced that they will be keeping their gates closed this weekend, just as Father's Day rolls around.
Despite the cemetery deciding to open its doors to the public this past Mother's Day, they announced that they would not be doing the same for the upcoming holiday.
According to the cemetery's website, "The Cemetery remains closed to visitors for the time being, including Sunday, June 18th, Father's Day," they explained. "Work to clean up and secure the site is continuing following the considerable damage caused by the recent ice storm."
They also added that, "Cremation and crypt burial services remain available by appointment for bereaved families."
This news comes six months after the decision to close the gates of the cemetery for strike purposes, leaving many families to prolong the mourning process of their loved ones.
