Taylor Swift has spoken out about her romance with Travis Kelce for the first time.
The pop star has addressed her relationship with the American football star for the first time since rumours of their romance made headlines in September.
During a new interview with Time magazine, Taylor, 33, explained that they "started hanging out" after "Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast" in July, after the 34-year-old's failed attempt to woo her during an Eras Tour show.
"So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for, because we got to get to know each other," the Grammy Award winner said.
The duo were first rumoured to be dating in September, after Taylor attended a Kansas City Chiefs football game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
"By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple," Taylor revealed. "I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."
The Cruel Summer singer explained that she and Travis are prioritising "showing up for each other", even if it means being in the spotlight.
"When you say a relationship is public, that means I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there and we don't care," Taylor shared. "The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone. And we're just proud of each other."
The Shake It Off star told the publication that she is sensitive to the amount of coverage and attention she receives at his games.
"I'm just there to support Travis," she stated. "I have no awareness of if I'm being shown too much and p**sing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads."
