If you are a fan of the Montreal Casino and Parc Jean-Drapeau… You’re in for a treat, Montreal!
Loto-Québec has announced that a luxury hotel will be built next to the Casino very, very soon.
“The hotel will be one-of-a-kind, thanks to its location in the heart of Parc Jean-Drapeau, and will provide Montreal with a wonderful showcase,” said Jean-François Bergeron, President and CEO of Loto-Québec.
The hotel, which will be a low-rise concept, will have 200 rooms and will be an investment that will cost nearly $150 million.
"The Casino de Montréal is a major tourist attraction that welcomes several million visitors annually,” explained Quebec Tourism Minister, Caroline Proulx. “Adding a hotel on the casino grounds will enhance its attractiveness and further increase Montreal's visibility on the world stage."
The property will be built on land already owned by Loto-Québec, which is currently a parking lot next to the casino.
