Following U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of a 25% tariff on Canadian imports starting Tuesday, the Quebec Ministry of Finance announced on Sunday afternoon that it has directed the Société des Alcools du Québec (SAQ) to remove all American products from its shelves.

Additionally, the SAQ must cease selling American products to restaurants, bars, and stores.

The government noted that it may take a few days for American alcohols to be fully removed from stores.

Despite this change, the SAQ will continue offering a variety of products from other countries.
