Jeremy Allen White experienced "imposter syndrome" before doing his first Calvin Klein campaign.

On Thursday, executives at the American fashion brand released images and videos from The Bear star's debut advertising campaign, in which he showcases his ripped abs while modelling their underwear on a New York City rooftop.

The 32-year-old actor told GQ that he felt anxious before his shoot with renowned photographer Mert Alas.

"In my head, I was just like, I can't see myself on a billboard. I shouldn't be here," he said. "Just real imposter syndrome."

The opportunity came at an ideal time for Jeremy because he had already bulked up to play wrestler Kerry Von Erich in The Iron Claw. He had slimmed down considerably since the film's shoot but still retained the muscle definition.

Explaining how the movie prepared him for the photoshoot, the Shameless star shared, "I was used to running around in front of large groups of people in my underwear because of (The Iron Claw). So maybe there was some mental and emotional prep from that job."

To get himself ready for the racy shoot, Jeremy ran, skipped, ate lots of fish and did callisthenics, a form of strength training. However, he got sick the week before the shoot and had to cram in a last-minute workout the night before.

Announcing the campaign, a spokesperson for Calvin Klein said on Thursday, "A native New Yorker, Jeremy is shot by Mert Alas in his hometown in a series of stills and videos that showcase his connection to the city and amplify his empowered energy in our most iconic styles.

"As seen on Jeremy, the Spring 2024 men's Underwear collection refreshes classic Calvin Klein designs with new logo treatments and materials for stylish, everyday comfort."
