Excited for the start of terrasse season in Montreal? You'll be pleased to hear that Montreal's Southwest borough will be opening their terrasses two weeks earlier than usual and extending their closing date by two weeks in the fall.

That’s right, as long as the weather permits, terrasses will be open on April 1, 2024!

Business owners said this move is due to the mild weather Montreal has been having in the past few weeks, and they hope this will help restaurants and bars that have faced challenges amid the economic slowdown caused by inflation and the pandemic.

Let's hope Mother Nature cooperates on April 1 and doesn’t play April Fools on us so we can soon start enjoying outdoor terraces!
