As we step into November, the holiday season has officially begun, Montreal!
That’s right—festive events are underway, and the Santa Claus Parade is back for its 72nd edition!
This year’s parade, set for November 23 in downtown Montreal, will begin at 11 a.m. and follow a new route along Boulevard René-Lévesque, from Bishop Street to Saint-Urbain Street. (In previous years, it took place on Sainte-Catherine Street.)
The parade is expected to last around one to one and a half hours. Although there are 50,000 parking spots available in downtown’s underground network, it’s likely more convenient to take the metro.
The parade is accessible via the Orange Line (Bonaventure, Lucien-L’Allier, Place-d’Armes, and Square-Victoria-OACI stations) or the Green Line (Atwater, Guy-Concordia, Peel, Places-des-Arts, and McGill stations).
Plus, you can even send your letter to Santa Claus on the day of the parade! Postal elves will be on hand to collect letters and ensure they make their way straight to Santa.
