In honour of International Women’s Day, Quebec author Chantal Ringuet reimagined the Montreal metro map, renaming each station after a prominent woman in the city’s history.

Ringuet collaborated with the Université de Montréal and the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) to bring this project to life.

The map features figures such as Supreme Court Justice Louise Arbour, Mohawk activist Myra Cree, and many more.

Check it out below:

Currently, only three metro stations in Montreal are named after women: Villa-Maria, Côte-Sainte-Catherine, and Square Victoria.
