Hallelujah, Montréal! Spring is just 10 days away, and it looks like Mother Nature has finally answered our prayers with some well-deserved sunshine and temperatures climbing above 10 degrees Celsius this week.
Here’s what to expect for the rest of the week:
Tuesday will bring a mix of sun and clouds, with a high of 7 degrees Celsius during the day. However, temperatures will cool down in the evening, with a chance of rain.
Wednesday will be the least pleasant day of the week, with temperatures dipping below freezing and hitting -9 degrees Celsius by the evening. Overnight into Thursday morning, it’s expected to get even colder, with a low of -18 degrees Celsius.
Thursday will be a dramatic change, as the temperatures warm up quickly, reaching 3 degrees Celsius by the afternoon—more than a 20-degree increase in just one day. Friday will follow suit with a beautiful sunny sky and a high of 7 degrees Celsius, bringing us even closer to that spring feeling.
Finally, Saturday will be the day we’ve all been waiting for, with a high of 11 degrees Celsius and plenty of sunshine—our first real taste of spring.
So hang in there, Montréal! The extreme cold is almost behind us, and warmer temperatures are just around the corner. Soon, we’ll all be facing that classic question: do I need a jacket or not?
