Gracie Abrams chooses to do her own make-up before every show on her tour.
While the That's So True hitmaker works with professional make-up artists for most of her public appearances, she prefers to do her own beauty routine before she performs live in front of her fans.
"I've also found a real appreciation for the ritual of spending 30 minutes to an hour by myself before the madness. I like to listen to ambient music and zone out a little bit, or call my mom and catch up while getting ready for the show," she told Glamour about her "budget-conscious" decision. "And I think, like any other ritual, if there's consistency and routine regardless of how many places you might be in in a week or a month, there's something grounding about that. So I've appreciated it a lot for that reason as well."
Gracie, who opened for Taylor Swift on certain legs of The Eras Tour in 2023 and 2024, noted that she learned many make-up tips and tricks from watching professionals like Emily Cheng work her magic on her face.
"I ask her a trillion questions and I've learned so much about how she applies product," the 25-year-old shared. "For instance, instead of putting concealer from the tube directly onto your face, put it on the back of your hand and either use a brush or a finger to apply it so there's more control. That's very exciting to me as someone who isn't a make-up artist but tries to be on the road."
Gracie was recently named as an ambassador for Hourglass Cosmetics. She kicked off The Secret of Us Tour in September and is set to wrap it up in Mexico in August.
