The inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2025 have been revealed.
The announcement followed the latest episode of American Idol, where the inductees were first revealed,
Among the inductees being honoured later this year at the ceremony will be Cyndi Lauper, The White Stripes, OutKast and Soundgarden.
Also making the cut are Bad Company, Thom Bell, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Nicky Hopkins, Carol Kaye, Salt-N-Pepa, Lenny Waronker and Warren Zevon.
The 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on 8 November.
Among the artists who were part of the long list but ultimately did not make the cut for induction in 2025 are Oasis, Mariah Carey, Phish, Billy Idol, The Black Crowes and Joy Division.
Despite being snubbed for the second time, Oasis probably won't be losing any sleep over the omission. Frontman Liam Gallagher wrote on X after being nominated for the first time in 2024: "F**k the Rock n Roll hall of fame, it's full of bumbaclarts."
In November, Mariah Carey - who was also on the long list in 2024 - reflected on her snub when it came to the inductees chosen. Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, she said: "My thoughts are, I didn't get in. Everybody was calling me, going, 'I think you're getting in!' and so I was excited about it. But then it didn't happen."
