Time travel is inevitable when reading children’s books to our kids… Especially if they’re books that we once read as children.
Witnessing kids find the magic in these stories that they’re hearing for the first time is truly something special. But, what makes a children’s book so timeless? Is it the images, the characters, the messages behind the stories told…?
According to a survey that was conducted by OnePoll on behalf of ThriftBooks, there are many children’s books that carry on the ‘fan favourite’ title throughout various generations of children. That said, there are a select few that always make the top of the list.
According to 2,000 adults in the U.S., here are the books that made the top of the list:
The Berenstain Bears (31%)
The Giving Tree (30%)
The Tale of Peter Rabbit (30%)
Goodnight Moon (29%)
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (24%)
Little House on the Prairie (23%)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (22%)
And so on.
